Business Analyst is playing an important role in ensuring the success of any business solution projects. This introductory course is designed to give people new to the business analyst role or those who supervise and/or work with business analysts a basic understanding of the benefits, functions and impact of this critical position. You’ll experience how a business analyst supports the project, from establishing its scope in the analysis phase to ensuring the requirements have been met in the testing phase. A case study will be introduced to provide insight into the real-life system development in financial industry.

 

Ÿ         Define the role of the business analyst throughout the phases of a project

Ÿ         Facilitate requirements workshops

Ÿ         Analyse and document as-is and to-be business processes using Business Use Case

Ÿ         Create use case diagrams and use case specification documents using UML tools

Ÿ         Develop business conceptual data model using UML Class diagram

Ÿ         Write business requirements document (BRD) with clarity and quality

 

 

Ÿ         New Business Analysts who need to have a basic understanding of business analysis framework, activities, and functions

Ÿ         Experienced Business Analyst who need to formalize or update their understanding of BA roles, tasks and activities

Ÿ         Business Analyst Managers who supervise Business Analysts

Ÿ         Project Managers, Developers and Quality Assurance Analysts who work within a project environment and interface with Business Analysts

 

Ÿ         3 to 5 years of experience in software development and a good understanding of system development lifecycle

Ÿ         Proficient English language skills and be able to communicate in English effectively
