Are you looking for an excellent opportunity to work on an exciting project

analysis in an IT setting? Consider these opportunities with the Ministry of
Transportation working within the Road User Safety IT Modernization Branch.
We are seeking 10 individuals to join our team for a 24 month contract and 5
others for a 9 month opportunity. If you are interested in being part of a
modernization project which will impact Ontarian`s and change how work is
performed within the Ministry, then here is your chance.
 
 
As a Senior Business Analyst - Architecture, your key responsibilities will
be to provide a comprehensive range of I and IT business analysis and
architecture services to a diverse set of clients which will enable them to
meet their technology needs. You will meet with clients to better understand
their business and then document and prepare business solutions that are
timely and cost effective. To do this, you will need to have an
understanding of conceptual business and data models and you will lead in
the analysis of business development or re-engineering. Additional duties
will include: preparing business cases and cost-benefit analysis to present
to senior management; define, evaluate and recommend information and
application architecture requirements (e.g. the structure and relationship
between suites of applications, including the identification and assessment
of re-usable components); participate in training initiatives towards
improving business models; participate in steering committees and other
stakeholder forums and establish strong working relationships with various
colleagues and stakeholders.
 
 
Qualifications:knowledge of project management methodologies and practices
to effectively assess client needs and build strong IT business solutions;
well developed knowledge of enterprise architecture specifically in the area
of business architecture; knowledge of current and emerging trends in
particular as they relate to business driven IT solutions; experience
ensuring traceability of business requirements to IT solutions and
monitoring solutions to ensure they are in accordance with internal policies
and standards; knowledge of software development life cycle, business
process modelling and process re-engineering; strong analytical skills with
demonstrated background performing high level business analysis; knowledge
of related business analysis tools, technology, processes and methodologies;
strong evaluation and problem solving skills; excellent knowledge and well
demonstrated experience managing concurrent projects in a large IT
environment; strong customer service skills, client relationship management,
consultation and negotiation skills; the ability to effectively work with
clients and stakeholders; well developed communication skills with
experience facilitating presentations, negotiating issues with clients and
presenting material to senior management; knowledge and experience with
preparing request for proposals from external vendors and participating in
the evaluation process; knowledge of procurement practices and the ability
to interpret and apply standards within the project.
